The Destiny 2 weekly reset is upon us once more, bringing another week of refreshed content for Guardians to dive into, from a new Nightfall weapon rotation to Ritual activities and plenty of other updates.
With The Final Shape finally here (see what I did there?) we're into Year 7 of Destiny 2, we're now into Episode Echoes, which is replacing the prior seasonal model.
Here's everything we know of so far for the weekly reset on October 1 - the last week of Episode Echoes before Revenant.
What time is the Destiny 2 weekly reset for October 1?
Destiny 2 has its weekly reset every Tuesday at 6 PM BST/10 AM PDT/1 PM EDT. After this point, you will be able to tackle any of the week's new content until the next week rolls around.
This includes new challenges, any new story content, and a refresh of all weekly content, such as Nightfalls, Raids, and Crucible modes.
If there have been any major updates or it's the start of a new season, you can expect some server maintenance and a big queue when you do get in, though - check out our Server Status page for more.
What is the weekly reset?
The weekly reset in Destiny 2 is when all activities are refreshed, rewards are restocked, and new weekly content is released. Each week, Guardians everywhere will jump on at the weekly reset time to check out what's new, and what's different, hoping to earn some all-important, powerful gear.
The weekly reset is also a way for events like Iron Banner to launch and conclude their limited time in the game and for vendors to restock their supplies.
Destiny 2 Nightfall this week
This week's Nightfall strike is the Devil's Lair.
Completing the regular Nightfall will net you some decent rewards, but the true prize, the Adept weapon, comes only to those who can accomplish a Grandmaster Nightfall completion with a Platinum medal.
Destiny 2 Nightfall weapon rotation
With a new expansion, we don't know the Nightfall weapons until a few weeks in. We do know, however, that there will be 8 Nightfall-exclusive weapons.
- Pre Astyanax IV - Combat Bow - Solar
- Scintillation - Linear Fusion Rifle - Strand
- Shadow Price - Auto Rifle - Arc
- The Slammer - Sword - Stasis
- Undercurrent - Grenade Launcher (Special) - Arc
- Warden's Law - Hand Cannon - Kinetic
- Wild Style - Grenade Launcher (Special) - Solar
- Uzume RR4 - Sniper Rifle - Solar
Each will be available twice per episode, so if you're planning on completing your collection, you'll have limited time to do so.
We're expecting this week's weapon to be the Pre Astyanax IV bow.
Destiny 2 Exotic Rotator
The rotating exotic mission this week is Node Override: Avalon, letting you earn the Vexcalibur Exotic Glaive.
Featured raid & dungeon this week
Garden of Salvation is the featured raid for the week, so be sure to jump in there to complete any challenges you have yet to accomplish. It's another great chance to get the exclusive exotic Divinity.
The featured dungeon is the Shattered Throne, making this a great week to complete the attached Seal.
Wondering if they're worth tackling? Check out our ranked Raid and Dungeon list.
Destiny 2 Crucible & Gambit rotation
With the competitive content refresh, we have more bounties to complete, gear to chase, and good times to be had in Destiny 2.
We're expecting Trials of Osiris to return on Friday, and I'll add the PvP modes once we have them.
